An afternoon with Polymer Clay – gift creations

polymer clay dollI’ve had a lovely day so far despite the early start. My daughter and I spend the first part of the day crafting together.

She made some kawaii sweet creations from Polymer clay ..pics to follow. I had a go at finishing off my miniature polymer clay doll. I’m not totally happy with it, but its all practice.

I then had an enforced break as I had promised my daughter yesterday she could apply my make-up. Well, you won’t be seeing photos of that! πŸ™‚

I did though get to return the favor, though my daughter looks more beautiful without make-up. Not like her old mum!

It was a lovely mum-daughter time. I can recall her being a tiny baby and my day-dreaming about days like this. I can’t believe they’re here already. Such precious moments. I can remember with my son really anticipating him starting to talk.

He was so active and inquisitive I really wondered what he had to say. Now I know … an endless stream of questions and a keen desire to chat. I’ll catch up with him for some mother son time later today when he’s up for a chat and a wrestle. πŸ™‚

And in the meantime …roll out the clay! I can do that literally now. My new stick-free plastic roller came today. Such a simple little tool yet so effective. I was using a make-do item and having to keep sprinkling it with talc. That was less than ideal. Now I have this and it really works. Daughter tried it out earlier.

Not sure what I’ll make yet. I may meditate on it (nap πŸ˜‰ ).
